Responsibilities - Continuously monitor the operation and performance of water treatment processes, including filtration, disinfection, and chemical dosing, to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. - Adjust operational parameters such as flow rates, chemical dosages, and treatment levels to optimize water quality, minimize wastage, and maximize efficiency. - Identify and resolve operational issues, equipment malfunctions, or process deviations promptly to prevent disruptions to water supply and maintain water quality standards. - Ensure that potable water treatment and distribution operations comply with all relevant safety standards, environmental regulations and quality control protocols to safeguard public health. - Analyse operational data, water quality parameters, and performance metrics to identify trends, assess system performance, and implement improvements or corrective actions as needed. - Respond effectively to emergencies, such as equipment failures, water quality incidents, or supply disruptions, by implementing contingency plans, coordinating with relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate corrective actions. Work closely with other plant personnel, water quality specialists, maintenance teams, and regulatory agencies to coordinate activities, share information, and ensure seamless operation of potable water systems.
